I’m so grateful to Australian Photography Magazine for having me back on the judging panel this year for The Landscape Awards 2025, presented by Camera House. It’s always such a privilege to be part of this amazing celebration of landscape photography across Australia and New Zealand.
This year, we saw over 2000 entries. From wild weather over a tiny woolshed to sweeping seascapes, dreamy long exposures and abstract aerials, every image told a story and I found myself constantly in awe of how deeply connected we can find ourselves when it comes to a place.
Even more heartening was the fact that together, the entrants raised over $5000 for the Australian Conservation Foundation, bringing the total to over $25,000 since the beginning of the competition 3 years ago. That’s something we can all be proud of. Photography with purpose will never cease to be powerful!
It was a pleasure to work alongside such a thoughtful group of photographers on the jury panel – Matt Palmer, Petra Leary, Will Patino, Steph Vella, Ignacio Palacios and Anthony McKee. Thanks also to the incredible sponsors – Camera House, ASUS, Western Digital, and OM System – for making this event possible.
To everyone who entered: thank you for sharing your vision, your voice and the landscapes that matter to you. I loved seeing what you’ve all captured and I’m already looking forward to what 2026 will bring!
